The thermal water originates from a deep reservoir located at a depth of 1,865 meters. The sodium chloride sulphate water comes from a sulphur spring rich in divalent sulphur (contents 5 mg S–/l), with a temperature of 26.7° Celsius. The water is pumped up and reaches a temperature of 40° Celsius when it comes to the surface, with a flow velocity of about 3-4 litres per second.
