Overlooking the Bay of Angels and the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean Sea, Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée is at the heart of the famed Cote d’Azur and only a stone’s throw away from the cool French Alps. Whatever their reason for traveling, be it business or leisure, relaxing in style, staying fit, exploring the Cote d’Azur, enjoying shopping, dining and entertainment options in Nice, Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Mediterranee poses to be the best accommodation in the metropolis and offers the best location in the city.
Compared to many other high-end hotels like the Windsor, Mercure Grimaldi, La Perouse, Le Grimaldi, all these hotels are good but Hyatt can be well worth the penny. Even after arriving 12 hours late, guests are still welcomed to the hotel with a smile. And this could be in the wee hours of the morning like 2 am. The staffs can prove to be stellar in providing unparalleled customer service. They can be very friendly even at such a ridiculous hour. Guests can have an amazing room with city view even on a senior discount. Getting a tastefully furnished bedroom equipped with a balcony, table and chairs to enjoy morning coffee which can easily be prepared inside the room is the norm.
The décor at Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée is typical of a Hyatt (with no Provencal style). There are black out shades, cozy super king bed, loads of storage, comfortable seats, desk, tea, and coffee. There is nothing to not like about the rooms at Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée. There is also individually controlled air-conditioning. On top of it all, the rooms have great insulation that they are so quiet.
Guests will never hear anyone walking down the halls or in the rooms next door. This is crucial for light sleepers or those who are extra noise sensitive. The concierge is very helpful and friendly. Rooms are very comfortable with a separate bathroom and toilet. In-room entertainment is also a plus, with a very good choice of international TV channels including BBC and ITV. The view at the back overlooking the city and the mountains was also spectacular. But Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée’s greatest strength probably lies in its location, right on the seafront. Cafés and bars abound in the area so guests have plenty of dining options.
If there is one small flaw about staying at Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée, it would be that the free Wi-Fi is almost unreliable. It would have been better if it had not been on offer at all as it seems almost non-existent anyway. It seems Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée wants its guests to pay extra for a better Wi-Fi connection. There is an option, though. You can go to nearby McDonalds where internet signal is strong enough for you to use Facetime or send out emails. Everything is perfect at Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée except for the Wi-Fi access. Apart from that, it truly is a perfect holiday destination in Nice even especially for business travelers.
When booking a room, consider trying a city view room because the water side can be quite noisy throughout the day or night. Or make sure to ask for a room away from the elevator as this can be a little annoying especially in the middle of the night. When staying in an ocean view room, it’s an awesome experience to leave the balcony doors open at night and fall asleep to the sound of the waves. You could almost say ‘life is bliss’.
